  • Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie
  • Spayed/Neutered
THIS PUP IS IN, and will remain in foster care in Rutherfordton, NC until his fur-ever home can be approved. At which time, he will be transported to locations between Rutherfordton, NC, PA, MD, NJ, Long Island & Manchester, NH, Burlington, VT and Albany, NY(via 'Happy Dogs' or 'Lifesavers' Rescued Pet Transport services. Because of strict mandatory 10-day>30 day quarantine in CT/RI and MA, we can not delivery in to these states(despite all vax utd, monthly heart worm & flea/tick prevention & current health certificate!). (dob: Feb 23, 2011)-TUCKER was taken in by a 16yo girl when her friend's dog had puppies. She left Tucker with her mother(who changed residences often), when she left town to follow her boyfriend when he went into the Army, then got married, got pregnant, and then came back home to raise the child after hubby finished his 3y enlistment in the service. That's when Tucker went back to live with the daughter, who originally owned Tucker. After a couple of months, it became apparent that Tucker didn't do well sharing attention with the baby, nor did he appeal to the hubby. So, Tucker was relinquished to Howlin4Spirit when the owner realized that Tucker's insecurities and her current situation was not working for Tucker, her child, nor her marriage. As a side note: owner stated that before she left to follow boyfriend, a male friend moved in to her mother's house while he needed to 'get his self together', but they threw him out when they realized that he was abusing Tucker...so, ANY MEN LIVING IN/VISITING THE HOME MUST BE GENTLE, KIND-HEARTED and UNDERSTAND that a DOG also has a need to trust all who enter 'their domain'. H4S CARes is also seeing a big difference in Tucker since we've thrown out all his old foodstuff(highly processed 'garbage' which we feel was putting a strain on his digestive tract and not giving him the proper nutritional needs all dogs require)...ADOPTION CONTRACT stipulates that a 'quality, all-natural dry diet' MUST be a priority for Tucker's happiness and 'good health'. VERY SWEET! Housebroken! Walks well on-leash. Does NOT like being crated! WANTS to be with his person. Prefers to sleep snuggled at the end of your bed. Stresses when around LG dogs & small babies, or when left alone(has issues from fear of abandonment).. H4S CARes IS SEEKING AN EARLY RETIRED GENTLE WOMAN/GENTLE MAN whom will take the time to make Tucker their 'baby boy'. He is an EXCELLENT COMPANION and is extremely devoted to his person, as long as he feels he can trust them to be there for him. JUST NEEDS SOMEONE WHO WILL GIVE HIM A SECURE, SAFE FENCED-IN YARD to properly run and exercise in, with a GENTLE, LOVING HOME SITUATION, and he will blossom for you, and thrive happily for rest of his life! He just needs the SECURITY of ONE HOME with room to exercise and KIND PEOPLE, to be ALL THAT TUCKER IS! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- adoption fee: $325(includes neuter, micro-chip, current on Parvo/Distemper and Bordatella vax, plus 3yr Rabies(due 2020), current w/ heart worm & flea/tick/mosquito prevention, Martingale collar and 6' leash, 1/2 gallon bag of his current dry food/Tractor Supply Store's '4health'-Salmon & potato, health certificate, 'RESCUED DOGS ROCK' car magnet. Transport fee: $100 to points as far as NYC/Long Island, and $125 to all points North of NYC/Long Island, to be paid by the adopter to the transport svc via PayPal.com, before the pup will be allowed to board transport to the adopter. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To apply to adopt Tucker, please go to: www.howlin4spirit.org/adoption-application/....copy and paste the app in to a new email (using WORD DOCUMENT), go to the end of each question, type in your answer, and then go to next questions and repeat. RESCUED when her owners passed away and their Hospice nurse took in both Luna(dob:~3/15/16..weighs 10lbs) and an unaltered male Min Pin(adopted), just 2 wks before Luna gave birth to her babies. 6wks after their birth:(07/15/17), Hospice nurse(lives in an apt & isn't allowed to have pets) contacted H4S CARes to see if we could help her in taking Luna and her 4(just weaned) pups and find them all RESPONSIBLE, LOVING HOMES...YES! OF COURSE! We had the room! Miss Luna, as best as we can tell, is a Jack Russell and Chihuahua X. She weighs just 14lbs and is a sweet little snuggle-bum. Smart, gets along well with all dogs, all sizes & energy-levels. Friendly, outgoing, happy, healthy and gentle. Not as hyper as your typical JRT; with decent exercise(long walks 3Xs day), she wouldn't require much room. WARNING: WILL JUMP/CLIMB 4' chain-link and 4' baby gate(that's the JACK in her)! SEEKING: active family with older, respectful kids OR active work-from-home couple. MUST be kept on-leash at all times, if not in a secured/stockade fence with wire 'dig barrier' at bottom/under constant supervision. Apartments OK, with commitment basic obedience training course & at least 3 walks daily(1>2miR/T, 3Xday) and an hr of 'play time' at dog park in small dog section=2X wk. That should keep her quite happy and contented! WANTS TO BE WITH HER PERSON, whenever possible...that's why we've learned that she will jump a fence. Adoption fee: $250(includes spay, micro-chip, Parvo-Distemper, Bordatella and 1 yr Rabies vaccinations, parasite- free, current on monthly heart worm & flea/tick prevention, new Martingale collar and 6'leash, current health certificate (issued within 3 days prior to transport), all medical paperwork from day#1 with Howlin4Spirit, 1/2 gallon bag of current dry food, beef knee cap bone. Luna should be fully recovered from her spay surgery and ready to go to her fur-ever home on SAT/SEPT 30th. Where there is a scent hound or guardian breed being considered for adoption, & in homes where children reside or will be visiting, a secured(not electric) fenced-in yard is required. All potential adopters are required to be at least 25 yrs old and complete the application below, at your earliest convenience, to help secure the pup of your choice. PLEASE, state 1st choice and 2nd choice pups!---------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PLEASE, copy and paste the application provided at: www.howlin4spirit.org/adoption-application/ in to a new email, answer each question thoroughly(the more/detailed info, the better your chances of being approved), and send to howlin4spirit@gmail.com Upon receipt of your application, we will acknowledge your application in an email and immediately send out a questionnaire to your 3 personal references. To help your chances of adopting the pup of your 1st choice, be sure to contact/ask all references to reply at their most earliest convenience. Boz was adopted from Howlin4Spirit by a family of stay-at-home mom of 4 young boys(last boy born 10mos after Boz was adopted), dad was gone from home 12hrs a day and was the only one who truly bonded with Boz. They walked together 2X day, but it wasn't big enough for a growing pup>young adult male needs(& the 4 small boys-they needed their jungle-gym and slide). So, Boz is seeking a situation where he will get more exercise, plus the love and leadership he needs to be all that he can be! LOTS of potential and UNconditional love just waiting for the right person with NO SMALL CHILDREN and ROOM TO RUN! we will be happy to send you more videos and pix, upon request! 10/22/17 11:18 AM

Thank you, for choosing to adopt a rescued pup. ARAMIS is such a sweetheart. Housebroken. dob: March 17, 2015..neutered/micro-chipped male, BORDER COLLIE X....LOVES/NEEDS to run!!!! NOT good with cats or small, hyper-active children(experienced and respectful children 12+yr-OK!. PLEASE, copy and paste the application provided below into a new email, answer each question thoroughly, and send to howlin4spirit@gmail.com This pup is in and will remain in foster care in Rutherfordton, NC(where they were rescued from) until their adoption is approved. Upon request, we will be happy to send you more videos and pictures of this pup interacting with her H4S buddies, to help you get a better understanding of their personality and activity level and how they interact with their people and other pups. ARAMIS We think he had an issue with his past owner when he started working AWAY from the home and they tried crating him...so, they ended up taking him to doggie daycare where he thrived, but it must have gotten too expensive for their current income and so sadly they chose to give him back to H4S, instead. He LOVES other dogs and has a high-energy level and NEEDS LOTS and LOTS of running room and exercise with other dogs. His trust in humans has been compromised by past owners who were stressed and he became VERY sensitive to their mood swings, so would escape their fenced-in(3 1/2'h backyard) to go play with the neighbor's dogs. NEEDS a young, active and athletic person(prefers women) to be his person. Sorry! NO APTS & NO HOMES WITHOUT A LG 6' h stockade FENCED YARD. Other pups-relative's/neighbor's dog or a dog park would be 'EXCELLENT'. Someone he can share 'CHASE ME' with! He LOVES to RUN/PLAY!! BEST with an active early retiree or active work-from-home person. LOVES women..but, is willing/open to befriend a man, IF they aren't aggressive, impatient, angry, type A personality! Gets along great with rescue 'dad' who is easy-going, loves to walk in the woods and has a calm, gentle demeanor. Last person had a son who was submissive and happy to sit on his butt and play video game all day/night long, who didn't interact with Aramis and so never truly bonded with him. Owner read more into Aramis' way of saying 'let's play' and was over-protective of the son who shied away from Aramis....so between the change in income and the son's inability to have a relationship with Aramis, they decided that he needed to come back to Howlin4Spirit and find the RIGHT-FITTING fur-ever family, instead. So, here we are! Aramis is enjoying playing with all the other dogs at H4S, but he really does need a special person/home to call his own. Good watchdog! LOVES to sleep NEXT to/ON your bed, if allowed. Completely housebroken! Gets along well with all sexes and sizes of other dogs. WANTS TO PLEASE! Obedient. Knows 'no', 'sit' and 'down'. Completed 1st obedience training course, per past Mom who loved him enough to take him through the course...a shame the rest of the family didn't appreciate/make time for him, also! adoption fee: $150(includes up to date on Rabies, Bordatella and Parvo-Distemper/Lepto vax, parasite-free, all medical paperwork from day#1 at H4S, Martingale collar & 6' leash, beef knee cap bone, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, current health certificate-issued within 3 days of transport, 'RESCUED DOGS ROCK' car magnet). Transport is provided by Save Them All OR Happy Dog(bonded and licensed) rescued dog & cat transport...their fee is $100 as far N as NYC/Long Island and $125 to all points N of NYC as far as Manchester, NH and Syracuse, NY...to be paid by the adopter to the driver at the time of delivery-EVERY SATURDAY! Where there is a scent hound or guardian breed being considered for adoption, & in homes where children reside or will be visiting, a secured(not electric) fenced-in yard is required. Thank you, for caring enough to consider adopting a rescued pup in need of love, respect and a warm place to lay it's head fur-ever. NALA(dob 03/17/15) was taken in by a young couple who saw her through the birth of her litter after being abandoned in a rural community in Rutherford Co, NC. When the pups were old enough to leave Mom(NALA), they asked the mail carrier if she could help them find homes for them. Having worked with/fostered for our rescue in the past, she immediately called us. YES! We had plenty of room for them. Then, when she brought the pups to me, she showed me a picture of sweet Mom chained to a tree(NALA). I asked her if she thought they'd let me find a home for her and she say, 'God, yes!' So, NALA sweet baby-girl has come here to help her find her a RESPONSIBLE and appreciative FAMILY of her very own(which she aptly deserves). As stated, she is VERY SWEET(see videos), friendly, outgoing, happy and healthy and possesses a wonderfully playful, loving and devoted demeanor. HOUSEBROKEN. Walks well on a 'Gentle Leader' and is housebroken and crate-trained. She is best suited for a home with a fenced-in yard, or rural setting with another medium>large fur-buddy to run and play with. Wants to be/enjoy life with her person, wants to please and snuggle against her favorite person at night but satisfied with her own sleeping area/crate IF required. Would make an excellent hiking/running buddy for an active person. NOT a couch potato, but enjoys snuggling with her people immensely, at the end of the day. Gets along well with other M>LG dogs...best with NO cats and no small people(too energetic at her young age, might playfully tip them over). This pup is in and will remain in foster care in Rutherfordton, NC until the following SATURDAY after her fur-ever family/person is approved. Upon request, we will be happy to send you more videos and pictures of this pup interacting with her H4S buddies, to help you get a better understanding of their personality and activity level and how they interact with their people and other pups. Thank you, for caring enough to consider adopting a rescued pup in need of love, respect and a warm place to lay it's head fur-ever. KAYCE is a Chihuahua/Mtn FeistX 1.5yo, date of birth: ~November 22, 2015. Kayce(Black and brn brindle) weighs 11lbs. Kayce is a sweet, a bit timid and independent yet very open to gentle, kind humans when she learns to trust. She was rescued from an outdoor kennel where she and her sister, Leisel, had lived their entire lives. Howlin4spirit rescued and placed their daddy just 2 months prior to these 2 cutie-pie's arrival at Howlin4Spirit. They were timid and scared, never having had much interaction with humans. But, are warming up nicely, and appreciating being a more integral part of our little pack, and realizing that humans can be kind, loving and gentle and have THE MOST EXCELLENT TREATS in their hands and are willing to share them with scared little dogs(especially compared to their past diet of cheap dog food and bread). Howlin4Spirit is looking for a kind WOMAN/retired with time and lots of love and patience to share with either/both of them. They would be best suited for a home with their own safe fenced-in back yard, and a tie-out cable line(for Liselle), Kayce is already coming to us, kissing our hands, always searching for yummy treats and a loving hug. We are working on our leash walking, slowly but surely. NOT GOOD/confident enough around children or other M>LG dogs. Cats OK! PLEASE, copy and paste the application provided below into a new email, answer each question thoroughly(the more/detailed info, the better your chances of being approved), and send to howlin4spirit@gmail.com These pups are in and will remain in foster care in Rutherfordton, NC until their fur-ever adoptive person('s) application can be processed and approved. Upon request, we will be happy to send you more videos and pictures of these pups interacting with one another and other H4S buddies, to help you get a better understanding of their personality and activity level and how they interact with their people and other pups. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Adoption fee: $95 includes spay, micro-chip, Parvo-Distemper, Lepto, Bordatella and 1 yr Rabies vaccinations, parasite-free, current on monthly heart worm and flea/tick prevention, Martingale collar and leash, and current health certificate (issued within 3 days prior to transport). Where there is a scent hound(FEIST IS A SCENT HOUND) being considered for adoption, & in homes where children reside or will be visiting, a secured(not electric) fenced-in yard is required OR NEVER allowed off-leash. To apply to adopt Cache, please use the application provided at: www.howlin4spirit.org/adoption-application/...you will need to copy & paste the application in to a new email, complete and send to: howlin4spirit@gmail.com. dob: March 26, 2013...rescued as an unwanted litter of Husky/HoundX. Cache's other siblings looked more Husky and were adopted but, apparently, this handsome spirit didn't look Husky enough, so was left behind. VERY SWEET, a little shy around new people, but responds well to kind, gentle hands and a calm demeanor. Extremely gentle and kind-hearted, loving and fun to have beside you, day and night. Very contented to run free inside secured area: not an escape-artist but we will not approve an electric fenced-in yard...must be stockade of 5' chain-link. Walks well on-leash, loves to explore so would be a great hiking/walking buddy on the beach or wooded trails on-leash, OR only after both pups and their adopter have completed obedience classes together, can be trusted to listen to they person's commands. With a little loving bonding time and obedience training, Cache will make an excellent companion for a home with at least 1ac fenced-in yard, or very rural acreage. adoption fee: $150..neutered, micro-chipped, current with yrly Bordatella, 3yr Rabies and Parvo-Distemper/Lepto vax, monthly heart worm, internal parasite and flea/tick prevention and comes with all medical paperwork from day#1 with H4S CARes and a current health certificate(issued within 3 days of transport). Thank you, for caring enough to consider adopting a rescued pup in need of love, respect and a warm place to lay it's head fur-ever. NALA was taken in by a young couple who realized that she was pregnant and had been abandoned in their community. They were approached by their mail carrier along her route, who keeps an eye out for dogs/pups in need of being rescued and rehomed. NALA has a genuinely sweet personality, is healthy and possesses a happy, fun demeanor. She walks well on a Gentle Leader and is housebroken and crate-trained. She is best suited for a home with a fenced-in yard, or rural setting with another medium>large fur-buddy to run and play with. Wants to be/enjoy life with her person and wants to please. Would make an excellent hiking/running buddy for an active person. NOT a couch potato, but enjoys snuggling with her people at the end of the day. Gets along well with other M>LG dogs...best with NO cats and no small people(too energetic at her young age, might knock them down).
